This painting is my rendition of a black and white photo I came across that caught my attention. I painted it because I wanted to know if I could do it to my satisfaction, for the practice, for the experience. As I was painting, I could see myself sitting on that beach, sipping scotch, looking out to sea. I thought how great it would be to have a beach house at such a beach with all of its solitude.
